A message from a Chamber member

As a member of several chambers (Lehigh Valley, Bucks & Montgomery Counties), I can say, unequivocally, that the benefits to Verizon are numerous. Among those benefits are:
Chamber Association - Being a Chamber member serves to reinforce the feeling that Verizon is, indeed, a good corporate citizen. Chamber membership adds to our credibility.
Community Involvement - Being a Chamber member allows us to stay in sync with the community, and to become involved in local business initiatives. The Chamber's mission complements Verizon's mission to be ready to assist in all matters that affect the community/City as well as the Valley/Region.
Networking at Chamber Events - This is a great way to communicate and to forge relationships with potential customers, suppliers and third party supporters. This is also a great way to advertise. Verizon has an aggressive advertising and public awareness strategy, and we view chamber events as a great medium through which we can exercise that strategy.
Chamber Publications - The newsletter and the membership directory are excellent communication tools. They allow us to keep abreast of community issues and events. They allow us to actively participate in all aspects of the community.

So there you have it. For present Chamber members, I hope I have reinforced the notion that being active in the chamber is a combination of good corporate citizenship and smart business. For potential Chamber members, I suggest you seriously look us over. I invite you to be my guest at a future-networking event.
